Saccio’s fishery products feed a large distribution network, culminating in the export of a large part of the catch to markets in Northern Italy. The distribution is entrusted to 9 wholesalers and about 20 fishmongers. More than 80% of the fresh fish is destined for the regional market (mainly Palermo and Catania); the remainder is destined for the national market.

Retail sales also take place, at the landing of the fishing boats, but are rather limited. There are two fish markets in Sciacca and Porto Empedocle, but neither is currently in operation.
